Health hazard

I would like to bring your attention to the health risk posed by City of Melbourne directing local businesses to use Penfold Place as a rubbish pick up.

The lane way is full of rubbish which is causing major fly infestation as well as cockroaches and mice invading local residences.

There has been no consultation with local residents regarding the placing of bins alongside a residential building. As well as increased activity by rubbish truck collection, loose rubbish is increasing dramatically and the COM does not collect this rubbish only the bins are emptied.

This is indeed a major health hazard and I would appreciate your help in raising awareness to the tardy attitude of COM to residents’ wellbeing.

Error

The article by Meg Hill on  page 12 of the March edition of CBD News is well-written but contains one unfortunate error in its lead sentence where it refers to “ACMI staff member Christian Marclay”.

I am sure this error is not Meg Hill’s. Christian Marclay is the creator/director of The Clock.

I might add that I found the film hypnotic and visited it five times.
