Four teenagers have been charged with a string of offences after an alleged stabbing in the CBD on March 22.

Police allege a group of teens approached a 42-year-old man on Bourke St at around 4.45pm before one of them allegedly stabbed the man. The teens then all fled on foot and on scooters.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the stabbing, police allege the teens committed further offences in Bendigo and Fitzroy between March 22 and 25.

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 16-year-old Fitzroy boy, a 16-year-old Richmond boy, a 17-year-old Bendigo girl, and a 15-year-old Bendigo boy.

The charges between the group include attempted robbery, assault with a weapon, and intentionally cause injury.

All will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
