Witnesses sought
Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault on Tuesday November 1, Melbourne Cup Day.
A 28-year-old woman was walking with a man along Princes Bridge at around 9pm before he assaulted her. The victim then began walking towards the CBD before she was located and taken to hospital.
Police interviewed a 27-year-old man alleging reckless injury, however he was released pending summons.
