Drug lab in apartment

A 59-year-old man is facing drug charges following the discovering of a “meth” lab in A’Beckett St last month.

Police say they charged the Hong Kong national after the fire brigade was called to a fire in an apartment at about 3.30 pm on April 16.

The man has been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of methamphetamine.

He is due to face court next month.
