Lonsdale St sky sign

Drive By Developments has proposed to the City of Melbourne to construct and display a major promotion sky sign on the roof of an existing two-storey building at 272-282 Lonsdale St. 

Currently, the building houses several food and gift shops, including Sakura Kaiten Sushi II and Domino’s Pizza, and is across the street from Emporium.

Drive By Developments is hoping to erect the sky sign 13 metres above ground level, set back from the façade by one metre. It also hopes to affix four floodlights to the roof of the building. It is estimated to cost $400,000.

It is yet to be determined whether the council will approve the application.
