Man arrested after alleged sexual assault on tram

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man following an alleged sexual assault on a tram in the CBD on January 13.
It is alleged a man sexually assaulted a woman on a tram at the intersection of Elizabeth and Bourke streets at around 11pm.
Police were told the man got off the tram and fled the scene on foot.
The Frankston man boarded another tram nearby, where he was arrested. He was released pending further enquiries.
Transit police are investigating the incident.
