Queen Victoria Market’s Winter Night Market returns for 2026

Queen Victoria Market’s popular Winter Night Market is set to return for the 2026 season, with the weekly event running every Wednesday from June 3 to August 26.

From 5pm to 10pm across the 13-week season, the historic market precinct will again transform into an open-air celebration of street food, live music and wintry atmosphere.

Entry remains free, with traders serving a wide range of warming dishes, from raclette-loaded sandwiches and lobster chowder to Berlin-style doner kebabs and Roman-inspired fried pasta cups.

Drinks will be equally winter-focused, with mulled wine, campfire cocktails, hojicha lattes and spiced mocktails all on offer, alongside returning favourite American Doughnut Kitchen’s hot jam doughnuts.

Beyond the food, visitors can browse stalls from local makers and specialty traders offering handmade jewellery, vintage clothing, pet accessories and curated hats.

Throughout June, the market will also host Keys to Winter, an intimate series of live piano performances running from 6pm to 9pm, adding a quieter and more reflective note to the evening program.

The Winter Night Market has become one of the city’s most popular seasonal events, drawing crowds to the Queen Victoria Market precinct during the colder months and continuing to showcase the mix of food, culture and atmosphere that has made the market such a longstanding Melbourne institution.
