Witness appeal following Melbourne stabbing

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a stabbing outside a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD on September 22.
It’s believed the victim, a 30-year-old North Melbourne man, was involved in an altercation with an unknown man on King St at around 11.50am.
As the victim tried to leave in a taxi, the man stabbed him twice and fled on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he underwent surgery.
Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
