Celebrating 10 years of NutriBullet: local artists elevate QT Rooftop for anniversary event
On February 19, NutriBullet marked a decade of blending health and wellness with an unforgettable 10th anniversary celebration at Melbourne's breathtaking QT Rooftop.
The event was brought to life by Melbourne-based artists Ross Jenkins and Tyler Hawkins of Thank You, Baby (TYBB), whose exceptional design transformed the venue into a sensory spectacle with the city skyline towering in the background.
“I think a strength of Ross and mine is to really respond to a space and work with the space. We didn’t want to compete with the skyline, but rather do the space justice,” Tyler said.
One of the key highlights of the event was the creation of immersive installations throughout the space.
A creative twist on the typical photo op, a large green wall served as the backdrop for the event’s media wall.
Guests were invited to step inside an aperture in the shape of a NutriBullet, offering a fun, interactive experience to commemorate the event.
But the showstopper was undoubtedly the fusion of nature and NutriBullet’s essence.
Ross and Tyler mixed vibrant fruit and vegetables, such as kale and citrus, with rich floral elements to create unique sculptures and installations scattered throughout the space.
“We’re essentially creating installations using smoothie ingredients like fruit and veggies and mixing them with floral elements,” Tyler told CBD News.
“It’s all about bringing the NutriBullet’s essence to life.”
In 2022, Ross and Tyler launched TYBB, combining their individual strengths to craft events that are not only customised to embody the client's vision but also thoughtfully responsive to the unique characteristics of each location.
Their bespoke approach ensures that every detail is meticulously designed to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
“We try to approach each job individually and ensure it’s specific to the space. We’ve worked closely with NutriBullet, pulling reference images and ideas together to bring their vision to life,” Ross said.
As they reflected on the excitement of bringing their designs to life, both artists expressed their love for creating immersive environments that captivate and engage guests.
“It’s about creating experiences that people can step into and enjoy,” Ross told CBD News.
“The QT rooftop is such a perfect environment for that. There’s so much we can hang things from, and we created this big canopy of fruit and floral overhead.”
As NutriBullet celebrates its 10th anniversary, the event marked a milestone in both the brand’s journey and the creative artistry of TYBB.
